BK8’s FAQ states that it will “NOT charge our members for any deposits and withdrawals”. Is BK8 a trusted online casino in Malaysia? How to check its licence
“Trusted” is a claim anyone can make. A licence is something you can check. BK8’s footer states:
“BK8 is operated by Mettlemind Tech Ltd., registration number: 15779, with registered address at Hamchako, Mutsamudu, Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros. BK8 is licensed and regulated by the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros and operates under License No.: ALSI-202504032-FI2.”
Anjouan is one of the islands that make up the Union of Comoros, in the Indian Ocean, and its government issues offshore gaming licences. That licence sets rules for the operator, but it is not a Malaysian licence. It doesn’t make online gambling legal for players in Malaysia, and it doesn’t give you a local regulator to complain to.
Here is how to check it yourself:
- Match the details. The company name, registration number and licence number should read the same on every page of the site you’re using. BK8’s footer and registration page both name Anjouan.
- Read badges with care. BK8’s footer shows BMM Testlabs and iTech Labs badges, but they don’t link to published certificates, so we can’t confirm what was tested.
- Ignore older wording. BK8’s own FAQ still mentions an older Curaçao licence, and some older pages on this site once called BK8 “licensed in Asia”. The Anjouan licence above is the one BK8 now shows in its footer.
