Wagering requirements explained, with ringgit examples

Wagering requirements are the rule that turns a bonus from a number on screen into money you can withdraw. They tell you how much you must bet first. The multiple, the base it applies to and which games count all change the real cost. This guide explains each part, then works through ringgit examples using BK8’s own published terms.

BK8 publishes full terms for each Malaysian promotion. Turnover on current offers ranges from 1x (birthday bonus, Lucky Wheel prizes) to 35x (the 288% welcome bonus), and most reloads are 8x–12x. Terms below were checked on BK8’s promotions page in October 2026, and most offers run to 31 December 2026.

What wagering requirements mean

A wagering requirement is a multiple. Multiply it by the base amount and you get the total value of bets you must place before withdrawing. BK8 and most Malaysian platforms call this “turnover” or “rollover”.

Your stake counts each time you bet, win or lose. Ten RM10 spins add RM100 to your turnover, even if you end the session where you started.

Bonus-only vs deposit-plus-bonus wagering

The single biggest variable is what the multiple applies to.

• Bonus-only: the multiple applies to the bonus. A RM100 bonus at 12x needs RM1,200 in bets.
• Deposit + bonus: the multiple applies to both. Deposit RM100, get a RM100 bonus, and 12x means RM2,400 in bets.

BK8 uses deposit plus bonus. Its Welcome Bonus terms give exactly that example: RM100 deposit plus RM100 bonus, times 12, equals RM2,400 turnover. So when you compare a BK8 offer with another site’s, check the base as well as the multiple.

BK8’s current offers and their turnover

The Welcome Bonus applies to your first promotion only, and you pick one product version. The promotions page lists every current offer, including the free spins and rebates.

Worked examples in ringgit

All examples assume a RM100 deposit. The “average cost” column assumes games with about 96% RTP, so the average loss is about 4% of every ringgit wagered. Live casino examples use the Banker bet’s house edge of about 1.06%.

The 288% row is worth pausing on. Wagering RM13,580 at 96% RTP has an average cost of about RM543. That’s more than your RM100 deposit and RM288 bonus combined, and you have 7 days to do it.

These are averages over very many spins, not predictions. In a real session, you could hit a big win early or lose your balance in minutes. Which games count

BK8 doesn’t use percentage contribution rates. Instead, each bonus is tied to a product, and only eligible games count. Its general terms add these rules:

• Non-live table games, non-slot games and arcade games don’t count towards slot turnover unless an offer says so.
• Void, tied, cancelled or opposite-side bets don’t count.
• Outright sports bets placed with bonus funds are cancelled.
• You can’t make a second transfer to the same provider while the promotion is active.

The 288% exclusion list matters for Malaysian players, because JILI titles such as Super Ace and Fortune Gems are popular here. Bets on them won’t move that bonus at all. The baccarat guide explains why live tables carry their own, higher multiple.

Sports bonuses and settlement

Sports turnover counts settled bets. A void bet, or a push on an Asian handicap line, adds nothing, because BK8 excludes void and tied bets. Betting both sides of a market doesn’t count either.

Some BK8 sports offers add their own conditions. The “You Play We Pay” new-member offer, for example, needs a first bet of at least MYR 100 on a pre-match handicap or over/under market at decimal odds of 1.70 or more, and excludes CMD. Winover on MEGA888 and 918Kiss

MEGA888 and 918Kiss bonuses use “winover” instead of turnover. You don’t need to bet a set amount. Instead, your balance must reach a target multiple before you can withdraw. On the 150% MEGA888 and 918Kiss Welcome Bonus, the target is 8x.

Winover can end fast if you lose the balance, or take a long time if you hover around the start. Either way, the bonus is locked until you reach the target or run out.

Tracking your progress

BK8’s 2026 wallet splits your money into a Locked Balance, which holds bonus funds still under turnover, and a Withdrawable Balance. Check both after your first session rather than assuming every bet counted.

Here is a simple walk-through. Say you deposited RM50 and claimed the Slots Welcome Bonus: RM50 bonus at 12x on RM100, so you need RM1,200 in bets.

The baccarat session added RM400 of betting but no progress. That’s why players who prefer live tables should pick the Live Casino version of the bonus, or no bonus at all.

Other terms that come with wagering requirements

Expiry

Every BK8 offer has a deadline: 7 days for slot bonuses and 30 days for most sports, esports and live casino bonuses. Miss it and the remaining bonus, plus any winnings tied to it, is removed. Divide the bets required by the days available. RM13,580 over seven days is nearly RM1,940 of betting a day, which may be far more than you planned.

Maximum win caps

Some offers cap what bonus funds can win. BK8’s MYR 500 Free Chips offer (October 2026, Pragmatic Play Live baccarat only) caps winnings at five times the chips: MYR 150 on MYR 30 chips, up to MYR 2,500 on MYR 500 chips. Anything above the cap is forfeited.

Excluded providers

Terms list providers that don’t count. MEGA888 and 918Kiss are excluded from most BK8 bonuses and rebates, and CMD, ALLBET and Sexy Casino appear on several exclusion lists.

One offer at a time

BK8’s general rules say promotions can’t be combined, and each is limited to one per person, household, IP address and payment account. Claiming the 288% bonus means you can’t also stack the Welcome Bonus on the same deposit.

Checklist before you accept a bonus
