Searches for a duitnow casino usually come from players who already use DuitNow every day. You pay hawker stalls with DuitNow QR and send money to friends by phone number. So can you use it for BK8? Yes: BK8’s payment FAQ lists “QR Pay – DuitNow” for Malaysian players, and the DuitNow logo sits among the payment methods in its footer.

This page explains how DuitNow works, how a DuitNow QR deposit runs on BK8, and how to avoid the scam that uses DuitNow most often.

What DuitNow is

DuitNow is Malaysia’s national real-time payment service. It is run by PayNet (Payments Network Malaysia), the same body behind FPX and MyDebit. Banks and major e-wallets connect to it, so money moves instantly between them, 24 hours a day.

DuitNow has two main parts.

DuitNow Transfer

You send money to a proxy instead of a bank account number. A proxy can be:

  • a mobile number
  • a MyKad or passport number
  • a business registration number (for companies)

The receiving bank looks up the proxy, shows you the registered name, and the money arrives in seconds. Seeing the name before you confirm is an important safety check.

DuitNow QR

DuitNow QR is the national QR code standard. One code works with any participating app, so a Maybank MAE user and a Touch ‘n Go eWallet user can scan the same sticker. Merchants, including online payment gateways, can generate a QR for a single payment with a fixed amount.

Your practical steps:

  1. Open BK8’s deposit screen and look for the QR Pay or DuitNow option in the method list.
  2. Have your banking or e-wallet app ready to scan, since the code expires quickly.
  3. Ask BK8 live chat if the option doesn’t appear for your account. Live chat runs 24/7, and BK8 also lists an official Telegram channel.

If you prefer another rail, FPX and Touch ‘n Go are the closest alternatives, and both move money in real time too. Both are covered in our BK8 payment methods comparison.

How a DuitNow QR deposit works on BK8

BK8’s cashier sits behind login, so the screens below describe the usual DuitNow QR flow. Your screens may differ slightly.

  1. Log in through BK8 login and open Deposit.
  2. Choose the QR Pay – DuitNow option.
  3. Enter the amount. Check the minimum on screen, and deposit at least RM50 if you want a promotion.
  4. A QR code appears, usually valid for a few minutes only.
  5. Open your banking app or e-wallet and choose Scan or DuitNow QR.
  6. Scan the code. Check the amount and the recipient name before you confirm.
  7. Approve with your PIN, biometrics or bank app approval.
  8. Screenshot the receipt with the reference number. Return to BK8 and check your balance.

For withdrawals, BK8’s FAQ describes payment to a bank account in your own name, processed within 25 minutes. BK8 may first ask for photo ID and a bank statement for that account. Our withdrawal guide explains KYC and timing.

Limits you control

DuitNow limits are set by your bank or e-wallet, not by PayNet or BK8. Many banks let you set a daily DuitNow limit in the app’s security settings. E-wallets apply their own wallet size caps, depending on your verification level.

Use that to your advantage. A low daily DuitNow limit is an easy brake on gambling spend. BK8 doesn’t list self-service limit tools, so your bank limit is the one you control directly; you can also ask BK8 live chat about self-exclusion. See our responsible gaming page for the options.

Troubleshooting DuitNow payments

QR expired before I paid

Payment-gateway QR codes expire quickly. Don’t screenshot the code and pay later. Generate a fresh one from BK8 and pay straight away.

Money left my bank, but BK8 hasn’t credited it

Wait 10–15 minutes. Then send BK8 live chat the DuitNow reference number and receipt. Don’t pay again until the first payment is resolved.

Payment declined by my bank

Your bank may decline payments to some merchant categories, or you’ve hit your daily limit. Check your limit in the app. If the bank is blocking the merchant, use another method rather than retrying many times.

The recipient name looks wrong

Stop. A genuine gateway QR shows a registered company or payment provider name. A personal name means you may be paying an individual, not BK8.

The DuitNow scam pattern to avoid

Because DuitNow Transfer works with just a phone number, scammers love it. A common pattern: a “BK8 agent” on Telegram or WhatsApp offers a top-up bonus. They then ask you to DuitNow money to a mobile number or personal account. The money is gone instantly and can’t be pulled back.

Frequently asked questions

Does BK8 accept DuitNow?

Yes. BK8 accepts DuitNow QR. Its payment FAQ lists "QR Pay – DuitNow" among the deposit options for Malaysia, and the DuitNow logo appears in BK8's footer. Withdrawals go to a bank account in your name.

What is the difference between DuitNow Transfer and DuitNow QR?

DuitNow Transfer sends money to a proxy such as a mobile number, MyKad number or business registration number. DuitNow QR lets you pay by scanning a standard QR code with any participating bank or e-wallet app.

Can I pay with DuitNow QR from Touch 'n Go or GrabPay?

DuitNow QR is interoperable, so most Malaysian banking apps and major e-wallets, including Touch 'n Go eWallet, can scan it. Whether a casino accepts the payment depends on the merchant behind the QR code.

Is there a fee for DuitNow?

BK8's FAQ says it doesn't charge members for any deposits or withdrawals. Your bank or e-wallet sets its own fees, and many don't charge individuals for everyday DuitNow payments.

What should I check before confirming a DuitNow payment to a casino?

Check the recipient name shown on the confirmation screen. It should be a company or payment gateway, not an individual. If it shows a person's name, or someone on Telegram or WhatsApp gave you the details, stop.
