Privacy policy

This site is a static guide. It has no accounts, no sign-up forms and no comment boxes, so it collects very little about you. This page explains exactly what it does collect, and what changes once you click through to BK8.

Who this policy covers

This policy covers bk8malaysia.net (“this site”, “we”, “us”), an independent affiliate guide to the BK8 betting platform. It doesn’t cover BK8’s own websites, which are run by a separate company with its own privacy policy. Read who runs this guide for more on that relationship.

We are the controller of the small amount of data described below. You can ask for the owner’s details through our contact page.

The short version

  • You can read every page without creating an account or giving us your name.
  • We have no forms, no newsletter, no comments and no live chat.
  • Our web host keeps standard server logs.
  • We run no analytics and set no cookies.
  • When you click a link to BK8, BK8’s own privacy policy applies from that point.

What we collect and why

Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical details when your browser requests a page. These usually include your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, your browser type and the referring page. The host uses these logs to deliver the site, prevent abuse and diagnose errors. We don’t use them to identify individual visitors. Logs are kept for the period set by our host, after which they are deleted.

Email you send us. If you email our editors, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to reply and to fix the issue you raised. We don’t add you to any mailing list. Please don’t send us passwords, IC numbers or bank details; we never need them. See the contact page.

Analytics. This site doesn’t run Google Analytics or any other analytics or advertising script. If that changes, we will update this policy first, name the tool and explain what it records.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies. Fonts, styles and scripts are served from our own domain, so no third-party font or script provider receives your visit. Our pages don’t use local storage to track you.

BK8’s sites, and the affiliate network in between, may set their own cookies once you click through. Those cookies are covered by their policies, not this one.

Links on this site that start with /go/, such as “Sign up” and “Log in”, send you to BK8 through an affiliate tracking service. The destination address carries our affiliate ID in a parameter (affid). That lets BK8 know a visitor came from this site, so we can be paid a commission if you register.

What this means for your data:

  • We don’t receive your personal details. We never see your name, email, phone number, deposits or bets.
  • We may receive aggregate reports. BK8’s affiliate programme may tell us how many sign-ups or deposits came through our links, typically as totals.
  • BK8’s policy applies after you click. The tracking service and BK8 decide what they collect, including your IP address, device data and the documents you upload for KYC. Read BK8’s privacy policy on its site before you register.

Sharing your information

We don’t sell, rent or trade personal data. We share server data only with our hosting provider, which processes it on our behalf. We would disclose information only if the law required it.

Your rights

Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 gives you rights over personal data held about you. These include the right to ask what we hold, to correct it and to withdraw consent. Because we hold so little, a request will usually concern an email you sent us. Contact us and we will respond within the time the law requires.

Children

This site is for adults aged 18 and over. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has emailed us, contact us and we will delete the message.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, with security headers that limit which resources a page can load. We keep no database of visitor information, so there is nothing for an attacker to take from us beyond server logs held by our host.

Changes to this policy

If we add analytics, a form, a newsletter or any other way of collecting data, we will update this page before the change goes live. We will also change the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
